Eto'o makes it to 100 goals

Samuel Eto'o has now scored one hundred goals in a Barça shirt. His two tonight against Betis took him to that tally in what is his fifth season with the club.
Eto'o struck twice against Betis, and that takes his total for the club to 100. These have come in just 154 games, in other words, a mighty 0.65 goals per outing.
Eto'o became the fastest person ever to reach 50 goals for Barça when he made it in just 67 games.
81 in the League
The Cameroonian has played 112 league matches for Barça,
scoring an impressive 81 times. His other goals have been shared as follows: 15 in Europe, 2 in the
Copa del Rey and 2 in the Spanish Super Cup.
Goal 100
His 100th goal was the work of a classic centre forward. Eto'o struck home practically unchallenged after latching onto the end of a through ball from Messi. The Argentinian had just completed a dazzling run, and having read the move to perfection Eto’o was expertly positioned to tap the ball home.
But his 99th goal, in contrast, was all about strength and accuracy. Eto'o drove home a powerful right-footed shot that struck the bar before landing in the net defended by Betis keeper Casto.

Third game on target
This was the third game in a row that has seen Eto’o’s name on the score sheet. The
streak started against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League, where he scored a penalty to make
it 2-0. Then on Sunday against Sporting Gijón, he was the scorer of Barça’s second goals, and
tonight he scored his team’s first two against Betis.
