Fact file Barca vs Ceuta

The 5-1 defeat over Ceuta was Guardiola’s 100th win in charge of the team and the appearance of so many youngsters and their great performance clearly pleased the Nou Camp crowd. Below we look at a number of the facts arising from the match.
► Of Guardiola’s 100 wins, 42 came in the first season, 45 in the 2009/10 campaign and
13 so far this season.
► The boss has overseen 71,9% wins in his 139 games in charge and during that time the
team have scored an astonishing 298 goals, conceding just 53.
► Abidal, Messi, Milito and Sergi Roberto all made their debut in this season’s
Cup competition against Ceuta.
► Pinto conceded his first goal of the season in the game, having previously kept clean
sheets against Copenhagen (2-0) and Ceuta (0-2).
► The game was also the first time Valdés had sat out a game on the bench this season.
The other games he’d missed he’d not entered in the squad.
► Thiago, who started in the Cup tie against Seville last season,
and Nolito both completed their first full 90 minutes in a first team game and both put in
impressive performances.
► Bartra became the first B team player to pick up a yellow card with the first team
this season when he was booked in the 35th minute. Bartra is also the only B team player to have
completed the full 90 minutes of both legs of the tie.
► The Barça player who made most interventions and most tackles was Mascherano (124 and
8).
► Bojan scored his first goal in the number “9” shirt, whilst Nolito and
Milito both scored their first goals of the season too.
► It was Milito’s second goal as a Barça player, following
on from his strike in the 3-0 La Liga win over Recre on 24th November 2007).
► Pedro is the only player to have scored in both legs of the tie.
► Leo Messi came on from the bench, but still managed to score, after just 6 minutes on
the pitch, and became the first sub to do so this season.
► The Argentinean has scored in 100 games for the team and only one of those ended in
defeat (4-3 against Atlètico Madrid).
► Messi also equalled his own record of goals in consecutive games which he set in the
2007/08 season, having found the net in his last six games against Copenhagen, Zaragoza, Seville,
Copenhagen, Getafe and Ceuta).
