FC Barcelona will look to maintain their motivation in their last encounter of the calendar year against Kazma Sporting Club in Kuwait on Monday, according to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

After landing in the country the day after winning the FIFA World Club Cup, the Blaugrana squad travelled to the Mövenpick Hotel. President Joan Laporta, coach Pep Guardiola and Thierry Henry and Ibrahimovic accompanied officials from the host team at a press conference. “We are delighted to have continued to make history”, Laporta stated.

Best coach

Guardiola continued: “Normally we have games continuously and we cannot celebrate winning trophies. Now we have seven or eight days, December 29, until there will be training again.”

Around 5,000 supporters met the team when they landed in Kuwait and Laportas has been delighted by the welcome and warmth from the local people. “The people of the Kuwait are friends of Barça and I hope that we can win even more fans here,” he explained. “We have a relationship based on friendship.”
