Henrique faces former colleagues

Edgar Fornós

If for any Racing Santander player facing Barça is a special occasion, then that player is Henrique Adriano Buss. The Barça defender is on loan to the Cantabrian side and on Tuesday faces his former team mates.

The Brazilian, on loan from FC Barcelona, made his debut under Guardiola at the Camp Nou in the Joan Gamper trophy match. Henrique now finds himself lining up against the same people he shared a dressing room with this summer.

Racing yet to lose with Henrique

More experience

The 22 year old defender signed for Barça in the summer of 2008, but left immediately for Germany’s Bundesliga and Bayer Leverkusen. Henrique, who had an excellent first season in Germany, is now seeking to adapt to Spanish football with the club on the north coast.

He has changed colours, and also changed partner. In the summer he played alongside Puyol and Piqué in the centre of the Barcelona defence, while at Racing he is working alongside South African Nasief Morris.
