Sandra Sarmiento / Vanessa Forns

The final training session of the week was held at the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper on Friday morning, with several members of the reserve team involved.

With so many players away on international duty, Josep Guardiola has only had five first team players with him this week, namely Iniesta, Márquez, Pinto, Maxwell and Pedro.

Josep Guardiola started by welcoming the new players into the unfamiliar surroundings, and then had a long conversation with Maxwell.

Defensive work

13 players went through the usual drills before doing an exercise with the ball, the objective of which was the fine tuning of defensive skills. It also involved a series of crosses and shots.
