Thursday evening training

A small group of players trained for the second time on Thursday evening.

Although there is no league match this weekend and the majority of players are away on international duty, Pep Guardiola is keeping up the rhythm of work. Today there have been two sessions with the emphasis on the ball.

The hour-long session included 5 players from the senior squad –Pinto, Márquez, Pedro, Iniesta and Márquez- and six from the youth and reserve squads - Jonathan, Masip, Gustavo, Nolito, Ilie and Montoya. Meanwhile, Víctor Valdés and Bojan Krkic worked out in the gym.

Pep and Iniesta

The players practised a number of passing exercises but the longest activity was a 5 a side training match on a reduced pitch, lasting the final 30 minutes.

Team manager Pep Guardiola also had an extended talk with Andrés Iniesta, who is in the final stages of his recovery process.
