David Villa has passed his medical at FC Barcelona on Friday morning and will now put pen-to-paper on his new contract at Camp Nou.

Even at that early hour there were fans that wanted a photo with Villa and his autograph, which he duly gave with a smile before spending three hours with doctors.

Testing time

After arriving at the stadium at 11am, the former Valencia goalscorer was preparing himself to be presented to the media and then the supporters later in the day.

Ready to play

All these tests have only confirmed that he is ready to come to Barça and ready to play in the forthcoming World Cup Finals.”
