The numbers of El Clásico

Roger Bogunyà

0-2, 80, 29, 15, O, 68 ……… all the numbers of last night’s big game!

- In the 80th game between the two in Madrid, Barca won to take their points tally so far this season to 80 – two more than at the same stage last season.

- Madrid committed 29 fouls, 14 more than Barca, whilst referee Mejuto Gonzalez showed four yellow cards to each team.

- Madrid didn’t have a single shot on target in the first half, whilst none of their seven in the second got past the brilliant Valdes.

- Barca had just four shots on target, but two went in and it needed an inspired Casillas to keep out Messi’s other two efforts.

- Xavi, who set up both Barca’s goals, completed 68 of his attempted 78 passes, with Messi the player who received most.

2010-04-10_PARTIDO_14.JPG- Barca have finished 17 league games with a clean sheet this season, and 27 in all competitions.

- The game in the Bernabeu was Gerard Piqué’s number 50 in the league with Barca – not a bad way to celebrate your half century!

- Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a total of zero goals against Barca, failing to score with both Manchester United and Real Madrid.
