Bojan Krkic took full advantage of the chance that he was given on Saturday evening as he scored twice for FC Barcelona in the 4-1 win against Athletic Club de Bilbao in Camp Nou.

The young striker remained modest about his achievements however as he spoke to Barça TV: "It is more important to work hard than it is to score goals. I just keep working hard. I am prepared to work for the coach when he believes that it is my time. I know that I am on as long road and that I should continue to progress with humility."

Learning curve

Like any player Bojan admitted that not playing was the hardest element to cope with but that he is still in a learning phase and is very grateful for everything that he is experiencing. "I believe that all this will bear fruit eventually," he added. "I believe that I will be given the time to prove myself."

Goals galore

After netting a brace against Athletic the forward revealed that he has never lost confidence. "I have been having some luck in front of goal lately," he explained. "I always go out to work and to give everything that I can to the team, which in recent weeks has been goals, then that is ever better."

Three points

"I am delighted because these are three important points for the team and raises our spirits with a view to the game on Tuesday and we also know that every game that is left in the season is like a final," Bojan stated as he summed up what the win at the weekend signified.

Normal friends
Bojan Krkic believes that having friends that do not treat him differently has helped him in his game. "I am lucky to have the friends that I have because they treat me completely naturally," he explained. "They are always at my side. I am very grateful that they think of me as just another friend."
