Great defence away from home

Edgar Fornós

FC Barcelona will be hoping to maintain their incredible record away from home as they are the second best team in Europe defensively on their travels this term.

The Blaurgana have let in just six goals in their 12 matches away from Camp Nou, a statistic that is only bettered by Dutch giants PSV who have let in five.

Euro leader

In the major European leagues the other leaders are nowhere near as strong as Barça with Chelsea having let in 14 in the Premier League while Inter have conceded 11 away from home in Serie A.

Against Getafe, Málaga and Jerez the scoreline was 0-2 to the visitors, while Real Valladolid were beaten 0-3 and Valencia held Barça to a 0-0 draw.

Camp Nou goals
Barça have actually conceded more goals at home in the league this season than they have away. Visiting teams have netted eight times at Camp Nou and let in six away. The goals against column makes good reading overall though as Barça have the best defensive record in la Primera.
