Busquets on his way back

Marc Guillén / Vanessa Forns

Sergio Busquets is gradually recovering from his kidney injury. On Monday, apart from following his individual programme, he spent part of the session exercising alongside his team-mates.

The team was back in training on Monday after enjoying a day off on Sunday. This was the first of four sessions planned for this week ahead of Saturday’s game against Sporting Gijon.

Training in the rain

Busquets has been sidelined since receiving a painful blow to his left kidney in the match against Sevilla on 16th January. Last Friday he exercised on his own to avoid any accidental contact with the other players.

Recovery training for Piqué, Puyol and Keita

Piqué, Puyol and Keita did not take part in the session. All three players stayed in the dressing rooms and concentrated on recovery exercises.
