The most efficient leader in Europe

Barça have won 80% of their games (12 out of 15) and have an eight point lead on the second placed club. On a continental level, only Inter have posted comparable statistics to Barcelona.

Barça are dominating not only in Spain, but in Europe too. Pep Guardiola’s side has won 12 of the 15 league games they have played (80%), and in addition to their eight point lead, they have an extraordinary +37 goal difference. Looking around the major leagues in Europe, only Inter Milan have achieved a similar level of dominance

Mourinho’s side are top of Serie A having won 12 of their 16 games (75 %) and are currently six points clear of Juventus. But their goal difference is not in the same league as Barça, for the Italian leaders fall far short on +19 (29 for and 10 against).

Even in Bundesliga and Premiership

In Germany and England, things are far more equal. After 17 games, surprise outfit Hoffenheim are still top of the Bundesliga with 11 wins in 17 games (64.7 %), although Bayern Munich are only second on goal difference. In the Premiership, Liverpool have one more point than Chelsea thanks to their 11 wins in 17 games so far (64.7 %).

Difficulties for Lyon

In Ligue 1, Olympique Lyon, one of Barça’s possible opponents in the next round of the Champions League are once again top, with a three point gap between them and Marseille, Girondins Bordeaux and PSG. The winners of the last seven editions have won on 10 of their 18 outings (55.5 %) with a goal difference of +10.
