The Cup and the League the focus this week

Matches in the Spanish Cup against Benidorm on Wednesday and in the League against Recreativo Huelva on Sunday are the focal point of training this week for the first team.

This Monday at 5.30 pm the football first team begins the last seven days before a short break for international fixtures. Over the next week Barça will be taking on Benidorm in the Cup and Recreativo Huelva in the League.

The Recreativo game will mark the end of a hectic four weeks that began away at Bilbao after the last international break. In that time Guardiola’s men have played nine matches, winning eight and drawing one.

Back to work

This Monday at 5.30 pm the Barcelona players will be back training after having had Sunday off. The squad is to work out in the Miniestadi in the build up to their return leg match with Benidorm.

First up the Cup

Josep Guardiola has scheduled two more sessions on Tuesday at 11 am and Wednesday at 12 noon at Camp Nou before Wednesday’s game against Benidorm (kick off 9 pm).

After Wednesday’s session the players will have lunch at the Camp Nou to be followed by a free afternoon before coming back to the ground at 7.15 pm.

Three more and off to Huelva

On Thursday the players will be training again at 11.30 am at the Masia. This will be followed by two more sessions, on Friday at 11 am in the Miniestadi and on Saturday at 11.30 am in the Camp Nou, to round off preparations for Sunday’s League encounter with Recreativo Huelva.

The Barça party will leave for Huelva on Saturday afternoon. Their game on Sunday against Recreativo at Nuevo Colombino is to kick off at 9 pm.
