First Champions League squad

Henry, Márquez, Cáceres and Sylvinho are back in the squad for Barça’s Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon. Abidal, Sergio Busquets and Víctor Sánchez have all been left out.


After this Monday evening’s training session, Josep Guardiola announced the players called up for the Champions League game with Sporting Lisbon. Henry, Márquez, Cáceres and Sylvinho, who all missed the Racing de Santander game, are back while Abidal, Sergio Busquets and Víctor Sánchez have been left out of the final 18. Alexander Hleb is still sidelined with injury.

One before last session

previasporting_x5x.jpgAt 6 pm the first team players came out onto the Camp Nou pitch to do their one before last training session before their Champions League debut against Sporting Lisbon. As usual for the Champions League, the session was open to the media for the first fifteen minutes, and it featured all Barça’s first teamers save the injured ones.

The players began with their usual warm-up before doing skills work with the official Champions League ball.

Pre-match hotel

Once training was over the players headed off to the NH Constanza hotel. They will back at Camp Nou at 11 am tomorrow Tuesday for their last session before the game.
