Iniesta: "The perfect end to a great season"

Andrés Iniesta was almost lost for words after helping FC Barcelona to win the Champions League for the third time in the club's history as he stood out against Manchester United.

The midfielder explained that he was "lost for words" after the "historic final" in Rome that saw him help the Blaugrana win thanks to goals from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi. "Winning the Champions League final against a team like Manchester United and having the chance to complete the treble is magnificent."

"We knew that we had to be calm and to play well," Iniesta explained to reporters after the game. "I hope that all the players can enjoy it and that everyone will be happy."

"I had not been able to score a goal and at last today I could in a very important game for the team."
