“It’s important to win and keep a clean sheet”

Edgar Fornós

In reference to Barca’s Champions League semi-final first leg tie against Chelsea on Tuesday, Seidou Keita said: “It’s important to win and keep a clean sheet”

After getting through their league commitments against Seville and Valencia, FC Barcelona are preparing for their Champions League semi-final first leg tie against English side Chelsea. “The coach is very thorough when it comes to preparing for games. We watch a lot of their games and analyse their weak spots and threats”, the Barça midfielder explained.

“An opponent we know”

We have seen their games in the Premier League and in the Champions League. They are a tough side; with some physically strong players who can make a difference”.

“We’re just thinking of ourselves”

After the draw with Valencia, Keita insists that “the team is calm because we’re working well. We’re just thinking of ourselves. We don’t need to worry about what Real Madrid are doing. If things go right, we won’t need to worry”.

“It’s important to win and keep a clean sheet”

Seville fan for a day
Keita was in no doubt that this Sunday he would give all his support to his ex-teammates at Seville playing against Real Madrid: “It’s a very important game for us and for Seville. If they beat Madrid it’ll be great for us. We’ll all be shouting for Seville”.
