“We shouldn’t take the difference in points for granted”

Edgar Fornós

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta is satisfied with the team’s progress, but he stated that “we shouldn’t take the difference in points for granted”.

After some bad results, Barça are back on a winning streak; getting to the Copa del Rey final, beating Athletic Club Bilbao in the Spanish league and qualifying for the quarter finals of the Champions League by getting a goal spree against Olympique Lyons. Despite all this, the Blaugrana president insists that “we shouldn’t take the difference in points for granted; we have to be sensible and continue working with humility.”

“I have full confidence in the team”

Joan Laporta underlined that he had full confidence in the team. “We have to carry on with our fighting spirit and winning ways. The coach has instilled this into the players and they have my full confidence”.

The season is coming to its crucial time, where everything will be decided. For this, FC Barcelona’s president made an appeal to the supporters: “I think the fans believe in the team. With everyone’s support, this season could be historic for the club”.
