Iniesta declared fully fit

Andrés Iniesta received the medical all-clear on Tuesday, and Josep Guardiola has been told he can name the player in the squad for the cup match away to Mallorca on Wednesday.

The midfielder is fully fit after suffering a thigh strain in training on February 18. The club’s Medical Services kept a good eye on him in Tuesday’s session at the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper, and decided that the player has completed his recovery successfully.

So, Iniesta could be back as early as Wednesday night for the cup semi final in Mallorca, where the team will be looking to seal their tickets for the final at Mestalla on May 13.

So, if selected, Iniesta will be reappearing on Wednesday at the Ono Estadi, having missed three FCB matches. Two of those were in the League, versus Espanyol at the Camp Nou (1-2) and away to Atlético Madrid (4-3); plus the trip to France for the Champions League match with Olympique Lyon (1-1).
