Four missing from training

Following defeat away at Atlético Madrid (4-3) on Sunday, the first team were back at work this Monday morning behind closed doors. All the players except Dani Alves, Henry, Sylvinho and Messi were present.
After defeat at Atlético Madrid (4-3) yesterday, the squad were back at work this Monday in a session held behind closed doors. It was the first session in a tough week featuring a Cup clash with Majorca on Wednesday followed by a League encounter with Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.
Training began at 11.30 am at the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper with all players present save four of the starting XI against Atlético: Dani Alves, Henry, Sylvinho and Messi.
Reasons for absence
Alves has a bruised left ankle after clashing with Simao in Sunday’s game, while Thierry Henry has tendon problems in his left leg. Both Lionel Messi and Sylvinho have done personalised recovery work.
Recovery session for starting XI
The other players who were in the starting XI including Valdés, Puyol, Xavi, Touré, Eto'o and
Márquez have done a lighter session of recovery work.
