Day of recovery

Berta Brau / Anna Segura

The football first team has trained at La Masia. The players that appeared against Valencia did some gently recovery work while the rest of the squad starting thinking about next weekend’s match with Real Madrid.

Frank Rijkaard’s squad were in a buoyant mood after the convincing display down at Mestalla (0-3), and the Sunday session was little more than a smooth warm-down session following the previous night’s exertions.

Almost everyone

Very few players were missing, but Messi, who was injured at Mestalla, and Ezquerro and Oleguer, also injured, were absent. Thuram and Gudjohnsen also skipped the session, with the Icelander working out in the gym after taking a minor knock to his foot last night.

Short workout for starting eleven

Those that stayed behind proceeded with a short match on a downsized pitch. A yellow team made up of Zambrotta, Bojan, Deco, Jorquera and fitness coach Albert Roca faced a side featuring Ronaldinho, Marc Crosas, Sylvinho, Edmílson and goalkeeping coach Juan Carlos Unzué.

Henry on the ball
