Puyol, doubtful for Lyon

Carles Puyol has suffered a heavy blow to his bottom left-hand rib, and is doubtful for Tuesday’s clash against Olympique Lyon. However, medical tests have revealed nothing broken or fractured.

The Barça captain was substituted in the 54th minute after receiving a heavy blow to his bottom left-hand rib in a clash with Recre striker Sinama-Pongolle.

X-rays have revealed nothing broken or fractured. Nevertheless, it’s still a painful injury, and the Club’s medical staff are doubtful about Carles Puyol being match fit for Tuesday’s trip to Lyon, where Barça face Olympique.
