Satisfaction with the win and the performance

Jordi Clos

The Barça players were happy with the 2-1 vital win against Sevilla 2-1.

Apart from Leo Messi, Andrés Iniesta was one of the stars of the match. He caused a lot of headaches for Daniel Alves in the Sevilla defence and stopped the Brazilian international from making his usual charging runs down the wing. Speaking in the Camp Nou studio of Barça TV after the match, he told us: “I’m feeling good. I’m confident. It was one of those matches we had to win. They are a good team”.

Team improving

Iniesta was satisfied with the win and also with the performance: “We’ve seen an improvement. It’s the beginning of the season and it’s important not to drop points”. Referring to Lionel Messi, he said: “It’s great to have him with us”.

Leo Messi:_

“We knew the attitude would be key because we certainly have the football”

“There’s no dependency on Messi”

“It’s wonderful when they chant your name. The fans have always given me their support”

Bojan Krkic:

“We have to build up our rhythm but you can see that we’re progressing”

“People can see that Giovani and I are young and they appreciate the effort”

“Messi is out of this world”

Giovani Dos Santos:

“The team played well. I’m happy with this win”

“It was a definite penalty”.

“We played a serious game with a lot of concentration”

“We’ve beaten one of the best teams in the league”

“I’m working hard, the boss is showing me his confidence and I’m trying to take my opportunities”.
Satisfaction with the win and the performance
Laporta very happy
Joan Laporta congratulated the coaches and players after the match: “We saw a great game of football. They deserved the win though Sevilla were really strong. I’m sure both teams will be fighting for the title. It’s been a great day: the anniversary of the Camp Nou, the presentation of the new Camp Nou project and an important win”. He made special mention of Lionel Messi: “He doesn’t have limits. He’s a fountain of inspiration. He’s got an extraordinary magic. Messi is the essence of football”. However, Laporta is already thinking about the next match against Zaragoza: “We’ve won two important matches and now we have to focus on the next game”
