Giovani receives dual nationality

Midday today saw Giovanni dos Santos receive dual nationality from the Spanish Constitution. The player can now be part of the community team.

A little before 13:00, Giovanni do Santos, along with the media and many followers, arrived at the Civil Registry in Barcelona. Having complied with all requirements, he received dual nationality and therefore is now able to be part of the community team.

Ronaldinho and now Giovanni have both received dual nationality this week, which now leaves just two players occupying the possible three slots open to non-EU players: Samuel Eto’o and Toure Yaya.

Fast return

The process was a fast affair and Giovanni do Santos returned to the Camp Nou in time to train with his team mates. The young forward took part in the session in preparation for the Joan Gamper Trophy to be played tonight against Inter Milan.
