Berta Brau

Ronaldinho played his 200th official game for FC Barcelona against Osasuna on Sunday. In the course of those matches the Brazilian has scored 92 goals and won 5 team titles and 3 individual ones.

On 30 August 2003 Ronaldo de Asis Moreira, known the world over as Ronaldinho, made his debut in an official match for Barça against Athletic de Bilbao.

The first goal

Barça was losing 1-0 to Sevilla when in the 58th minute Ronaldinho got into the action. He moved forward from midfield and smashed home a 30 metre piledriver that made Barça fans realise that they had a very special player on their hands.

200 games in 7 competitions

The bulk of them have been in the League with 140 matches, followed by 33 in the Champions League, 13 in the King’s Cup, 7 in the UEFA Cup, 4 in the Spanish Super Cup, 2 in the Club World Cup and one in the UEFA Super Cup.

A great goalscorer

Since he came to Barcelona, Ronaldinho has become synonymous with magic, creativity, ball juggling and above all goals. That’s because he has notched a total of 92 in the seven competitions he has played in, having only failed to score in the UEFA Super Cup. In the 2006-07 season the Brazilian was the club’s top goalscorer in the League with a total of 21.

Team and individual titles

In addition to the titles he has won with FC Barcelona, Ronaldinho also picked up the FIFA World Player award in the 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons as the best player in the world, together with the Ballon d’Or in the 2004-05 season.

The fifth player to reach 200 games
Ronaldinho is the fifth player in the current first team squad to reach the figure of 200 official FC Barcelona games. Xavi, Puyol, Valdés and Iniesta are the other four who have already gone past this figure.
