Double training

The first team have trained for the first time today, but have another session this evening as they get back into their rhythm after the Christmas break.

Josep Guardiola held his first post-holiday session on Wednesday, and today at 11.00 it was back to business with the first of two workouts in one day.

Three reserves

There were once again 18 first team players on the pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, joined this time by Miño, Bartra and Thiago from the B team. Gerard Piqué warmed up with the others, and the injured Milito and Jeffren were both able to train as per normal.

Absentees

Only Leo Messi was missing, who is not due back until the New Year, and Carles Puyol who picked up a groin strain in Tuesday’s Catalonia international against Honduras (4-0).
