Away failures resolved

The win in Pamplona was one more at a ground where last season Bar�a failed to win, following the successes earlier this campaign at the Calder�n, San Mam�s and the Juegos Mediterraneos.

Last season’s defeat at the Vicente Calderon and the draws in Pamplona, Bilbao and Almeria have been reversed in the first seven games on the road this time around, with wins at all the stadiums.

Success in Madrid

Last season’s only league defeat came away to Atletico Madrid, with Ibra’s goal not enough to better the two from Forlan and Simao, but this season Guardiola’s men got their revenge in week three, reversing the score line thanks to goals from Messi and Piqu�.

Draws to wins

Similarly, last season’s draws in Almeria (2-2), Bilbao(1-1) and Pamplona(1-1) have been amply turned on their heads with the 0-8, 1-3 and 0-3 wins.

Cornella-El Prat and Mestalla the next challenges

With the team doing so well at grounds where they struggled last year the players should get a boost of optimism for their trips to Espanyol and Mestalla where they failed to take the three points last year, drawing 0-0 at both stadiums. The Barcelona derby is in two weeks time, whilst the game against Valencia is scheduled for the start of March.
