Abidal gets medical clearance

After training in the OAKA Stadium, Éric Abidal was declared fully fit. So Guardiola has 20 players to pick from, 13 from the first team and 3 from the reserves, on Wednesday against Panathinaikos.

Barça held their only training session in Greece on Tuesday evening in the amazing Athens venue, the OAKA Spiros Louis Stadium.

Many eyes were on Abidal, who travelled to Greece despite concerns over his fitness. But the French defender performed well enough for the doctors to declare him back to match fitness.

Incredible venue

The players worked out for about an hour and in majestic surroundings were able to verify the excellent condition of the grass. The stadium was, of course, the venue for the 2004 Olympic Games.
