Barça’s third Champions League game this season ended in a 2-0 win, but there were plenty more facts and figures behind that scoreline.


► Barça beat Copenhagen in almost all the relevant stats: they had more shots on target (7-1), put in more crosses (24-12) and made more successful passes(767 - 362).

► Dani Alves was the player who made most crosses, with 10, followed by Abidal with 3.

► It was the first game in the last five that Barça finished with a clean sheet – something they’d not managed since the game against Sporting on September 22nd.

► Messi’s brace means the team have already chalked up 25 goals this season -10 of them from the Argentinean star.

► Alves, Puyol and Sergio Busquets are the only Barça players to have played in all three Champions League games so far this season, with the Brazilian ever present in all of the team’s 12 official games in all competitions.

► Iniesta’s yellow card was his first of the season.

► In his 100th game for the club, Keita made his debut in this season’s Champions League, having sat out the Panathinaikos and Rubin Kazan games.

The game against Copenhagen was Abidal’s 25th Champions League game with Barça. In his first season at the club he played in 10 games under Rijkaard, made 5 appearances in the treble winning season, 8 last year and has featured in two games so far this campaign.
