Final training session of the week

The Barça squad – the same group of 27 players as in previous sessions - had their last training session of the week on Saturday morning.

The eighth training session of the pre-season included ten players from the senior squad (Pinto, Maxwell, Milito, Adriano, Victor Sanchez, Keita, Hleb, Bojan, Ibrahimovic and Jeffren) plus seventeen from the reserves (Oier, Miño, Masip, Dalmau, Sergi Gomez, Armando, Muniesa, Riverola, Ilie, Sergi Roberto, Tello, Benja, Jonathan Soriano, Nolito, Cuenca, Jonathan dos Santos and Edu Oriol).

Meanwhile, Andreu Fontàs and Victor Vazquez continued their recovery from injury in the gym.

Weather improves

The weather this morning in Barcelona was rather more typical for the time of the year as a persistence breeze cleared away the clouds which had dominated over the past few days. However, despite the sun, the pitch - which had been watered before training began – was as fast as always.

The session followed the same pattern as earlier in the week with warm-up exercises, ball control and circuits. Pep Guardiola was on hand for the entire session and kept a close eye on his players.
