2010/11 Barca are up and running

Barca’s 2010/11 season is underway! 28 players (10 from the first team squad and 18 from Barca B) started medical tests this morning on the first day of work of the new season.

Ten players from the first team (Pinto, Maxwell, Milito, Adriano, Víctor Sánchez, Keita, Hleb, Bojan, Ibrahimovic and Jeffren) were joined by 18 from Barça B (Oier, Miño, Masip, Dalmau, Sergi Gómez, Armando, Fontàs, Muniesa, Martí Riverola, Ilie, Víctor Vázquez, Sergi Roberto, Jonathan dos Santos, Edu Oriol, Tello, Benja, Jonathan Soriano and Nolito) for medical tests as the pre-season got started.

Henrique was the only absentee as he has been given another week to sort out a possible move away from the club.

Back in the evening

Blood and urine tests began at 09.00 at the Ciutat Esportiva and then the players moved to the Nou Camp for echocardiographs, electrocardiograms, strength and chiropody testing.

In the afternoon those players from the B squad who will take part in pre-season training with the first team also underwent their pre-season medical check ups.
