Arsenal return to the Camp Nou a year after losing 4-1 to Barça, with a memorable performance from Leo Messi. Here are other interesting facts about a European football classic.

► That day (April 6, 2010), in the second leg of the quarterfinals of the Champions League, Barca were also without their two regular central defenders, Pique and Puyol. Milito and Marquez took their places in the heart of the defense.

► Arsenal had never beaten Barcelona until they won 2-1 in the first leg. Up until then, there had been two draws and three Barcelona victories (including the final in Paris 2006).

► Since the defeat at the Emirates, Guardiola's side have won the four league matches they have played, whilst Wenger’s team have won two, drawn one and lost one.

► Of the four times Barça has had to turn around a 2-1 defeat in European competitions, they have been successful twice.

► Arsenal have gone through in 14 of the 15 European qualifiers where the club won the first leg at home.

► In the last three years, both Barça and Arsenal have reached the quarter finals of the Champions League.

► The English club is the leading scorer in the Champions League with 20 goals. It’s also the second with regard to most fouls committed (113), behind Shakhtar (122).

► Leo Messi is one goal behind Anelka (Chelsea), Mario Gomez (Bayern) and Eto'o (Inter) in the list of the tournament’s top goalscorers.

► Iniesta and Eboue are the two players who are one yellow card away from suspension. Pique received his third yellow card at the Emirates.

► The game’s Swiss referee Massimo Busacca also refereed the Rome final in 2009.
