Jeffren out for 5 weeks

Jeffren suffered a tear in his left thigh during training this morning and will be out for up to 5 weeks. This morning’s session was held with 15 first team squad members joined by Oier from Barça B and Espinosa and Deulofeu from the Youth A team.

Jeffren, who celebrates his 23rd birthday today, suffered an unfortunate birthday present as he picked up the injury in training at the Ciutat Esportiva. Following tests, doctors confirmed he would be out for up to 5 weeks.

Gentle session after Betis effort

The 15 first team squad members in training this morning were joined by Oier from Barça B and Espinosa and Deulofeu from the Youth A team. The players involved in last night’s game had a gentle session to recover from their exertions in Seville.

Four players involved in last night’s defeat to Betis - Pinto, Piqué, Xavi and Messi – stayed indoors in the gym, whilst Alves continued his treatment for the injury he picked up at the weekend and Puyol trained normally.
