Milito and Jeffren, positive and negative

The return of Gaby Milito was the best news to come out of the game in Kuwait. But the down side was the injury to Jeffren, who will be out for 4 or 5 weeks.

“It was nice to play again. To play in front of spectators in any kind of game is good for me to regain my rhythm and get back to the level of my colleagues” said Gaby Milito after the match against Kazma Sporting Club (1-1), his first since getting injured at Old Trafford. "It was the best possible end to the year” he added.

62 minutes

He played as the left-sided centre back, alongside Márquez, and moved up for the dead ball situations. In a gentle game, the truth is that he did not have an awful lot to do.

On the actual game he said “the result doesn’t really matter. I think we gave a good image of ourselves”, while on FC Barcelona’s incredible season, he said “it is not easy to achieve what this team did. Our mentality never changes and we are on the right track. I hope we can do it all again, but I know that will be difficult. It is not easy at all”.

Injury to Jeffren

Milito’s satisfaction can be compared to Jeffren’s dismay, as he has picked up an injury that will take 5 weeks to recover from. Pep Guardiola was saddened by the news, saying “I am sorry for him and also because we’ll need him in January”.

But the manager was also happy to with the performances of players like Márquez, who “is getting back to a good level”, Chygrynskiy, “who played well in the middle”, Milito and Maxwell, who came on for few minutes on the wing.
