Kuwait gives Barca warm welcome

About 5.000 fans welcomed Barca when they landed in Kuwait this Sunday afternoon ahead of Monday's game against Kazma Sporting Club.

Although the main job in the middle east has been completed, Barca still have a friendly on Monday afternoon in Kuwait before they head back home. Their plane arrived at 16.00 this afternoon and about 5.000 fans met them at the airport chanting the club and Messi's name and greeting them as the new world champions.

Press conferences

Joan Laporta, Txiki Begiristain, Pep Guardiola and Carles Puyol posed for the traditional photos as they came off the aeroplane in Kuwait, with their latest trophy – the FIFA World Club Cup . The Champions then moved onto their hotel – the Mövenpick Hotel where they will stay until Monday night when they fly back to Catalonia. Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will speak to the press on Sunday night.


Party Time

The club organised a private party after winning the trophy on the beach in Abu Dhabi where the team had trained earlier in the week but that began slightly late after the final went into extra time on Saturday. The players, directors and families all enjoyed the happy celebration

In Abu Dhabi the time difference with Catalonia was 3 hours, whereas in Kuwait is it just 2.
