Vote for Iniesta’s stunning goal

Andrés Iniesta's incredible goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is one of ten that can be nominated for the best of the year by FIFA.

On their official website www.fifa.com the world football governing body are honouring Ferenc Puskás by naming the prize for the goal of the year after him and the Blaugrana playmaker could be the recipient of the gong.

The criteria

The vote will be decided by readers of the website and the choice should be made on technique, importance, stage and timing of the goal, meaning that Iniesta has a great chance of winning.

With Barça trailing in London against Chelsea with just seconds remaining the Blaugrana claimed a place in the Champions League final with a superb effort from Iniesta before going on to win the trophy in Rome.

The other candidates

Other contenders include Emmanuel Adebayor, Michael Essien, Grafite, Nilmar, Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres as they all scored impressive goals during the past 12 months.
