Training match

FC Barcelona played a training match against Bolivar CF on Wednesday morning in place of the usual training session.


The squad are continuing their preparations for Saturday’s visit to Bilbao. The second training session of the week, on Wednesday morning, was affected by the absence of many of the internationals. Today, the session consisted of a training match against Bolivar CF, who are in Barcelona at the moment for a training camp.

Meanwhile, Keita, Messi, Ibrahimovic and Valdés exercised an hour before the rest of their team-mates and did not take part in the match.

2009-11-18_ENTRENO_20.JPGThe match was played out on another part of the training grounds. The Barça team was made up of: Pinto, Maxwell, Milito, Márquez, Bojan, Pedro and Jeffren, from the senior squad, Ilie and Armando from Barça Atlètic, and Oriol Romeu and Palau from the youth squad.

Youth squad in the limelight

The subs bench was entirely given over to youth squad players: Edu Campabadal, Roger Canadell, Patri, Baco, Segi Ayala and Gio. They came on to replace the first team players during the match.

Bolivar CF

The Bolivar squad was a follows: Carlos, Miguel Hoyos, Luis, Alfredo, Ignacio, Lionel Reyes, Reyes, Carlos Da Silva, Ferreira, Anderson and Walter Flores.

Interest in Bolivia

The training match attracted the interest of a Bolivian radio station as well as the Bolivia ATB TV channel.

Next training session at 6 pm Thursday
Thursday’s session has been set for 6 pm in order to give the remaining internationals time to get back to Barcelona.
