First contact with freezing Centralny

The team trained this evening in Kazan at the Centralny Stadium on a pitch surrounded by snow and with the grass a little longer than they are used to.

Barca now know what to expect tomorrow evening when they face Rubin: the thermometer read 4 degrees below zero as they trained this evening and the snow that had been cleared, still surrounded the pitch, which was in excellent condition, despite the longer than usual grass.

Prepared for the cold

The players were well wrapped up with woollen caps, gloves and longjohns which had been brought especially for the cold temperatures. All 19 players trained, including Dani Alves who was only passed fit on Monday.

The technical staff had earlier decided against a morning training session to give the players a chance to relax after Monday's journey and they spent the morning at the hotel which is close by the stadium.
