Barça appeal Piqué's Valencia booking

FC Barcelona has appealed against Gerard Piqué's yellow card that he received in the goalless draw against Valencia last weekend to the Appeals' Committee.

The Competition Committee rejected the case presented by the Blaugrana as they bid to have the central defender's booking over-turned after he had his name taken by Alfonso Pérez Burrull.

Piqué received the caution after touching the ball inside the area after a short pass to him by Víctor Valdés in hte 78th minute and the club feel that it was unwarranted.

After the Competition Committee rejected the claim the appeals¡ panel will now decide.
