Valdés: "I am personally satisfied"

www.fcbarcelona.cat

Víctor Valdés was philosophical after FC Barcelona's draw in Mestalla and praised Valencia's tactical know-how to stop the league leaders after the goalless draw on Saturday evening.

"Valenica were very intelligent and they played well by applying pressure high up the pitch," he said. "They are a team that always makes things difciult. We are not used to the other team creating so many chances, but I am personally satisfied despite the fact that I would have liked to take the three points from the game.

"It will be seen as a good point if we can win our next match home."

Below are what some of the other players had to say:

Iniesta

"It seems like a disaster when we do not win, but we have to look at the positive things."

"There have not been many chances, but we have earned an important point and are still leaders. That is important."

"Little-by-little I am improving and I am feeling much better. Of course, I will improve even more."

Piqué

"We have not lost two points, we have won one."

"It was a complicated game and we see the draw as being good."

"It was important that the defence and the goalkeeper were strong."

"Mestalla is always a difficult place. The fans help the home team a lot at the start and then we were able to dominate."

"The teams know well how we play and they begin to put pressure on us."

"If i the end we win the league all of these games will be anecdotal."

Pedro

"We also knew it would be difficult to win here. The point must be seen as positive."

"Now we have to continue working."
