Internationals return to training

Edgar Fornós / Roger Bogunyà

The players that had been away on international duty recently nearly all returned to training on Thursday evening with only Lionel Messi and Daniel Alves still away.

While the duo were heading back from their respective games in South America, the other eight players were present as Gerard Piqué, Sergi Busquets, Xavi, Thierry Henry, Éric Abidal, Dmytro Chygrynskiy and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all reported for duty at the Ciutat Esportiva.

No Bojan

Bojan Krkic, who has been called up to the Under-20 World Cup squad by Luis Milla, did not participate in training either as he remained in the complex to work on his recuperation.

Henry did take to the field, but he spent much of the session working away from the rest of the squad.

Five youngsters

There were 16 first team players present and also five players from the youth ranks were called up with Armando, Nolito, Gai, Ilie and Espinosa making up the numbers.
