Messi comes back early

Leo Messi is to train this Monday with the first team. The Argentine has decided to cut his holiday short and travel to London with the side for the first part of preseason.

The club had given him holiday time until 27 July, after the London trip had finished and before the US tour starts. But Leo Messi, who finished his season on international duty against Ecuador on 10 June, has decided to come back today Monday.

In London

The Argentine will thus be back at work on the same day as his teammates and will travel with them to London. The side will be in the UK until Sunday and will play two friendly games against Tottenham and Al-Ahly.

Like a year ago

Last year Leo Messi was also with the club at the start of preseason. The Argentine, who was happy with his preparation for a season in which he didn’t have any injuries, was only away when he played for his national side at the Beijing Olympic Games.
