Touré: “The derby is the most difficult game”

Roger Bogunyà

Not Sevilla, nor Vila-real, nor any of the three home games. For Touré Yaya, Barça’s most difficult game is going to be the derby with Espanyol.

The scorer of the last goal against Deportivo, said “we have to take things step by step, and win the six games we have left.” They still have to go to Cornellà, Vila-real and Sevilla and in reference the first of those, Touré said “they are a very difficult team in their stadium. They are preparing well”.

The Cornellà-El Prat factor

2010-04-14_PARTIDO_28.JPGTouré knows all about the dangers of Cornellà-El Prat. “They always want to beat Barça. It is a difficult game and the first we will have played at Espanyol’s new ground. They’re a good side” said the man who has now scored six goals for Barça.

Praise for colleagues

2010-04-14_PARTIDO_13.JPGThe midfielder had special words for Pedro, who got the second last night. “It was a great goal. Pedro is a very important player for us. He’s having a brilliant season” said the Ivorian. Jeffren and Dos Santos were also singled out, along with Xavi, Messi and Iniesta: “I have always said that it’s very easy to play with Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. They make things easier, they’re the best players in the world”.

On Iniesta, Touré said “it’s a shame what’s happened to Andrés. He’s a great player. We hope Barça make the final and that we can see him come back to play in it.”

All IN Catalan
The surprise of the press conference was the excellent Catalan spoken by Touré Yaya in each of his answers. Despite some confusion when he was asked to reply in Spanish, it is clear that the Ivorian’s Catalan is improving daily.
