Best run of the season

FC Barcelona's victory over Deportivo de La Coruña on Wednesday evening was the team's seventh consecutive league win and marked their best run of the current campaign.

Pep Guardiola's team have entered the title run-in in great form and in the last month have been able to take control at the top of the table with a string of impressive wins. After drawing against Almería on March 6 the Blaugrana have gone on to beat Real Zaragoza (2-4), Osasuna (2-0), Mallorca (0-1), Athletic Club (4-1), Real Madrid (0-2) and Deportivo (3-0).

That set of results beat the string of six wins on the bounce that the team chalked up early on in the season. That run came to an end when Barça were held to a goalless draw by Valencia.

With these results, the Barça improves the gust of wind of six continued victories that chained in the starter of the season. On that occasion was exactly the Valencia the first assembly that avoided that the team of the Six Cups added the three points (0-0).

Clean sheets
