Abidal out for 10 days

Abidal suffered a recurrence of the thigh injury he suffered in February as scar tissue ripped, and is expected to be out for up to 10 days after he limped off after 52 minutes of Tuesday’s game against Arsenal.

The injury means the French full back will definitely miss this weekend’s clash against Real Madrid and the league game the following Wednesday against Deportivo, whilst he could be fit to reappear in the derby game against Espanyol or in the first leg of the Champions League semi final against Inter Milan set for April 20th.
