Chygrynskiy: “You just have to go out and play the way you know”

Chygrynskiy didn’t mind not playing for so long. “It was three months since I’d played, but I was training and felt supported by my colleagues, so I wasn’t worried” he explained after the win against Bilbao.

He said he had spoken little to Guardiola because “I just had to show him what I can do”. He knew he needed to prove himself to the fans and to do that he had been training hard. But he felt comfortable as soon as he walked onto the pitch, and that was mainly thanks to the support he received from his colleagues. He added “when you get things right, you know you’ll play well when you get the chance”.

Bojan:

“I am happy with my performance and especially the three points”.

“Every game is vital, especially at home and today was a difficult match”.

“Goals always give you confidence”

“I am always ready for whenever the boss thinks I should play”.

Pedro:

“It was a good win because we scored four goals and that’ll give us confidence for the games to come”.

“The worst thing was the injuries, although most were minor niggles and I hope they’ll be OK”.

“We have done our bit and Madrid have hard game tomorrow, so we’ll see what happens”.

“Bojan had a good game and the goals will be good for getting him into the right shape”.

“The injured players might be all right in time for Tuesday because it is such an important match”.

“The team is strong physically; I hope we come through the forthcoming games all right, because they’re very difficult”.

Busquets:

“Games before the Champions League tend to be tight; it is hard to win games comfortably when there’s a Champions League match to come”.

“Everyone in this squad can play; it was a very serious game from all eleven of us”.

“It was a very good game. The other day we were missing luck and today we had it, I hope we have more on Tuesday”.

“Chygrynskiy is a useful and young player. He has had a strange start to the season, but he helped us a lot today”.

“We may make a lot changes but the system is always the same.”

“With the right atmosphere and ambition we hope we can put our tiredness behind us and win the two titles we have still to play for”.

“Tuesday’s game is difficult and so is Saturday’s, in the league. If we qualify on Tuesday, we’ll be in a good mood for the derby”.

Puyol:

“We knew it would be hard because of how well Athletic are playing and because we have just played a hard game with Arsenal”.

“The team played well, but we suffered from the efforts of the other day. We have lots of games and it’s normal for there to be injuries, but hopefully they are only short term”.

“We have a good feeling about the games ahead, we are doing things the right way”.

Maxwell:

“It was an important win because Athletic always makes things difficult for us, they’re strong and create a lot of chances, but so do we”.

“There’s competition for the left back place because Abidal is back and playing well. We’re happy; we always want the group to be strong”.

“It is a big loss to be without Piqué, Puyol and Ibra but we will try to do the best we can”.

Jeffren:

“I am very happy to have scored the first goal; it was my first in the league for Barça”.

“I have played in two games I didn’t expect to. I have done what I can and feel better for it, so I’m happy”.

“I don’t know if I’ll get any more chances because there are Henry and Bojan too, but I’ll be waiting. I have to keep working to get more minutes”.

“It is a strain, but not a big one. I’ll be OK tomorrow and the coach can count me in for Tuesday”.
