Voluntary activity at Sant Joan Despí

Some of the players that didn’t play the full ninety minutes against Stuttgart, including Busquets, didn’t take a break and were at the Ciutat Esportiva today, while some of the first team players came to do recovery work.

Although the Barça squad was given a day off on Thursday, some of its members did appear at Sant Joan Despí for various fitness reasons. These were Pinto, Busquets, Jeffren, Ibrahimovic, Márquez, Chygrynskiy and Keita. None of those played the full 90 against Stuttgart. Abidal, meanwhile, is still regaining shape, and Xavi is also undergoing treatment.

Some of the players that did play against the Germans were also at the Ciutat Esportiva for recuperation and gym work.

Fitness work

Coaches Pep Guardiola and Tito Vilanova came to oversee the morning’s activity. Sergio Busquets, who was taken off after 66 minutes last night with a minor leg injury, worked out in isolation, and didn’t seem to be suffering any after effects. So, it looks like there is no reason for concern, and on Friday he should be able to train as normal.
