Two former Barça players made last minute moves in the winter transfer window with José Edmilson returning to the Spanish league with Zaragoza while Eidur Gudjohnsen moved from Monaco to Tottenham.

The winter transfer window slammed shut at midnight on Sunday but not before Palmeiras and Zaragoza reached an agreement for José Edmilson to join the Spanish club on loan until the end of the season. Meanwhile, Eidur Gudjohnsen has gone to Tottenham from Monaco – also on loan - until 30th June.

The return of Edmilson

For the last year he has been playing for Palmeiras, in Brazil, taking part in 22 matches. The 33-year-old defender will find himself on the opposite side against his former Barça team-mates when the two sides meet in La Romareda on 21st March. While with Barça he won two league titles and a Champions League.
