19 to Villarreal but no Márquez

www.fcbarcelona.cat

This Saturday Josep Guardiola announced his 19-man squad for Sunday’s game away at Villarreal. Rafael Márquez has been left out as a precaution.

The club’s medical services say that the Mexican has been carrying a left thigh strain all week, so as he’s not 100% fit they’ve decided not to take any chances and to leave him at home.

Others missing

Last session in Barcelona

This Saturday morning the first team had its last training session in Barcelona before its final game in 2008 away at Villarreal on Sunday. As has been the case over the last few days, Josep Guardiola had all his players at the session held at Camp Nou except for the injured Gaby Milito.

Very special thanks

Jordi Najarro thanked the players for their support and the team responded with a warm round of applause.
