The death of Barça’s goalkeeping coach Juan Carlos Unzué’s father has imposed a change of plans in the build-up to the Basle game. The whole squad will attend the funeral this Monday afternoon in Orkoien (Navarre).

The build-up to the Basle game has been affected by some tragic news: the death of Barça’s goalkeeping coach Juan Carlos Unzué’s father. In order to show their support for the coach, the preparatory plans for the Basle game have been altered.

All squad to travel to Pamplona

Firstly, the training session has been changed to 10:15 on Monday morning in the Mini-Estadi, where journalists will be allowed to attend for the first fifteen minutes. After that, Pep Guardiola and Iniesta will give a press conference. The squad will have a late breakfast at Nou Camp, then, at 12:30, they will travel en masse to El Prat airport to fly to Navarre. The funeral of Sebastián Unzué Echalar will be held at 16:00 in Orkoien (Pamplona), and then the squad will be flying back to Barcelona to begin the preparations for the Basle game the following day.

Basle themselves will be training on Nou Camp turf at 20:00 on Monday, and their coach will be giving a press conference half an hour earlier.
