The derby squad

www.fcbarcelona.cat

The inclusion of Pedro in place of Martín Cáceres is the only change in the Barça squad for visit to Espanyol on Saturday from the one that faced Betis.

Pedro is one of two recent youth team products to be named in the 18-man squad, along with Sergio Busquets. Coach Pep Guardiola has opted to rest Cáceres, Sylvinho and Víctor Sánchez for the game, while Albert Jorquera, Aliaksandr Hleb and Gaby Milito are still out of action.

Jorquera returns

QM3D8268.jpgTraining began with a round of applause for Albert Jorquera on Friday in a behind-closed-doors session in Camp Nou. The goalkeeper received the adulation from his team-mates after returning to full training following nine months on the sidelines with a knee injury. Including the Catalan custodian, Busquets and Víctor Sánchez, 22 players took part in the session.

Derby day schedule

The itinerary for Saturday sees the squad having to report to Camp Nou at 11am. They will spend an hour training ahead of the derby against Espanyol and they will then have lunch at 13:30 in Camp Nou. The players will be free until 20:00, when they have to meet, once again, at Camp Nou before travelling at 20:30 to the Estadi Olímpic on Montjuïc for the match.
